Tween sensation Miley Cyrus sang up a storm on the “American Idol” charity special “Idol Gives Back” but it turns out the Disney star is no fan of the most popular TV show (apart from her own) in America.
Cyrus, 15, aka “Hannah Montana”, performed two songs live at the Hollywood taping of the fundraiser at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Sunday and recorded a mini segment highlighting the plight of impoverished kids in Kentucky, where her dad Billy Ray Cyrus was born and raised.
But asked backstage whether she was an “American Idol” fan, Cyrus chirped; “The funniest part is that I am so excited to be here but I have never seen it. Never seen even an episode.”
“I think it’s something you have to really get into,” she explained, adding that she has been pretty busy over the last couple of years — what with her own TV show, album, tour, apearance as an Oscar presenter etc.
C’mon Miley! Even bad boy rapper Snoop Dogg, who also appeared on the show to broadcast Wednesday, said he watches AI from time to time.

Most people are not a fan of miley because she had some things involved with the jonas brothers cuz when she went on tour with them . jonas fans like me started hating miley because she went on tour with them and nick and miley were dating. But i don’t hate her. I just think jonas brothers are a lil better. but anyways to clear things

I personally don’t watch American Idol either, and it’s not that I hate it, I just either don’t have time (and I’m not famous, imagine if I were!) or I just don’t watch that much reality shows. Now, if you guys don’t like her, fine. But there are girls out there that do, and you all just trash-talking her changes nothing.

I dont even like IDOL. I have seen it and (Personally) feel that it was the most wasted time i have ever spent on anything.

I don’t blame her, I only watched about, maybe 10 min of the stupid show once and it isn’t thing worth hitting the record button on my DVR for. Besides, she is bigger than Snoop Dogg and much busier, while SD is being taped at his house, doing nothing at times, of course he has time to watch it, he has nothing else to do for that time period while HE is being taped, so that wasn’t even a good comparison!
- Posted by AnnaI am still a huge miley fan. She is 15 years old, and she is veru busy. Snoop do as mentioned before is veyr busy to, but he isnt 15. She is a teenager, she has to deal with every other teen problem and deal with her career. Even if she doesnt watch the show, at least she came. And she came because it was a good cause, and n ot for the fame, or because she was a HUGE fan.

The fact that she gave some of her time to help with the American Idol fundraiser is a very selfless gesture. Her saying she had never watched an episode is about as ignorant as anyone who has ever bought a box of girlscout cookies without having a daughter in a troop. You don’t have to know everything about the girlscouts to enjoy the cookie-you know that you’ve contributed to a good cause…End of story…

So until you live a life like her dont judge her actions!! I mean if she really was not a fan of Idol she would not have done there show. A lot of people dont have time to watch it. I mean I do and I love it, but seriously dont judge her because she isnt like the rest of the world. She helps and inspires a lot of people. So yeah. Get over the fact she doesnt watch AI!!
