You could almost hear the collective groan from reporters and commentators the world over when they learned the names of Angelina Jolie’s twins. Pencils, mine included, were sharpened for stories of outlandish celebrity baby names. OK, Jolie and partner Brad Pitt didn’t go for “Jack and Jill” exactly, but Vivienne Marcheline was remarkably restrained for the bizarre-baby-name age, and Knox Leon was only slightly more whacky.
Nicole Kidman had got people nicely warmed up with “Sunday Rose” for her recently-arrived daughter, who, incidentally, was born on a Monday.
The Daily Telegraph caught the mood with a tongue-in-cheek commentary saying Jolie had “failed the name game”, calling her choices “shockingly conventional.”
Celebrity baby name lists remind us of glories past, for which many of us secretly pine. Remember Princess Tiaamii (daughter of model Jordan and Peter Andre)? Or Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily (Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence) and Jermajesty (Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza)? Angelina, we deserved better.

Who cares! People have babies every day. What makes them so special?

Going to be either Grandpa or Greatgrandpa’s name. Precious new babies for a great family.. Wish them well, with all the blessings in the world.

If a magazine wants to make a donation to charity and gets to have a photo for the committment - so be it.
That is basically what they are doing. It is a win win situation. All the magazines have already stated that their sales really do not go up that much.
I think it is similar to a charity auction.

The “hard-earned money” will be given to children in need through the Jolie-Pitts, ESPECIALLY in this economy who are the most vulnerable. Certainly with a computer with time to waste hating on Angelina, you aren’t one of them, so you can afford it.

Under normal circumstances, I don’t think there would be any chance that magazine would pay that much money for charities.

At least Angelina and Brad(at least they did the last time)donated all the money earned with the photos of shilo to charity. I think it’s better that they do it that way then try and kill someone chasing after them and a baby to get a photo!!!

I do not understand why you are against these magazines paying for the Jolie-Pitt’s babies photos. I completely am for it. Besides, they do not keep the money. They do good with the money they receive from the media outlet. They give that money to charity…Charity to those who are less fortunate than us…

As a long standing Team Aniston member I may loathe Angelina but any baby of Brads has to be adorable.
I love Vivienne Marcheline. So pretty. Knox Leon sounds a little funny, though I like the names in their own right. Hoorah for good choices.

Bitter much? People are fascinated with the Jolie-Pitts. Refraining from buying a magazine won’t save anyone from the mortgage woes of late. Besides, the Jolie-Pitts donate ALL of the earnings from their baby photos to charity. But what you’re saying is similar to telling a person not to eat because other people in the world may be starving.

I ask everyone who is reading this to not buy the magazines with the pictures of the Jolie/Pitt twins. I find it absolutely sickening that they would pay that much money for baby pictures when the economy is in ruin, there is a mortgage crisis and people are losing their homes.
Please do not give these magazines another dime of your hard earned money. They should be ashamed of themselves for wasting this money.
