I am so happy that I found this website! I have a paper in my history class on the fall of America and what I believe will help it. I was trying to figure out what to write about avoiding the gay marriage subject. I strongly agree that gay marriage is right, but didn’t want to go too far in my paper. But now I can stand up and say that we are not being treated equally. Gays have a right to get married just like everybody else. Thanks for the help. =]

Are any of you who are for gay marriage the child of such a union? I just can’t imagine not having a female for a mother and a male for a father. Miss Jolie and Mr. Pitt absolutely adore their female mothers. Would they feel the same if their mothers were male? Maybe they would. Can’t say. Can you?

If your for gay marriage make sure you read the ballot carefully they keep changing the words around on it. The latest is to vote yes. if your voting against it take a 50/50 shot I don’t really care if you vote wrong.

Let me go on to say that the ignorance of gay marriage ruining the meaning of marriage if laughable. It is wrong for two men or two women who love each other to be married but it is okay for a man and a woman to be remarried 10 times and have many different children with many different people. No that doesn’t ruin meaning of marriage at all.

People stop worrying about who’s having sex with who and worry about your cheating spouse. But if everyone minded there own business the paparazzi would be out of business wouldn’t they?

Karen - a different name is separate, but not equal. Do you not know about the desegregation of schools that this country went through? That was one of the main arguments. Conservatives should stop using their bigotry to oppress people. We are sick of it!!!

Yes on Proposition 8! Prop 8 is not about discrimination. Prop 8 only asks that the term “marriage” refer to the union between a man and a woman. Gay unions should be called something else and that is the only thing that Prop 8 states. Choose a different name for that union and all is well!

gay marriage - big deal. why would anyone have a problem with this? there is a war in iraq. Over 85% of people in Darfur have been displaced and bombed…because of discrimination. About 1200-1500 children die a day from malnutrition and starvation. Why won’t america move it’s shallow head into the deep end and help those experiencing real suffering?

Way to go, Brad! Classy! Those who disagree with his action should still see his point — that for there to be true equality, others must have the same rights — in this case, marriage — whether or not the others who already have these rights disagree!
