It’s interesting that when rich people give to charity, they are always questioned as to why they do not give more, apparently because they are either greedy or stingy. Yet if the same logic were applied to middle class individuals, the accuser would be considered a troll or some other such individual.

For anyone who wants to complain about another’s actions, be prepared to do as good or better than the one whose actions you find questionable. In the same vein as when one offers criticism – be constructive and offer up your own plan. If you can’t, or won’t, then your complaints are better left unspoken.

He’s going to cut a $1,000,000.00 check and give it to charity. That’s a good thing Nick.

Weinstein’s OK by me, no matter his politics, preferences, hair color, etc.

The criticism in the 1st comment is unnecesary: Who says this is Mr. Weinstein’s only possible charitable donation in a year?

Not very impressive. Weinstein is worth $250million at a very, very minimum. $1million represents less than 0.5% of this.

Or, put into focus, if the average Americans Income is $40,000(a guess on my part), it is like having to stump up just shy of $200. Not very much.

Doubtless Weinstein will also use his accountants to ensure that this $1million comes out of his corporate pocket not his own. Come on Harvey, match your business genius with a realistic donation – it is after all a tax deductable.
