Which lifeline will she use this time?
Tina Fey is expected to be back reprising her devastating impression of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live this weekend following the Alaska Governor’s performance in Thursday’s widely-watched vice presidential debate.
Actress and singer Queen Latifah has also been tapped to play journalist Gwen Ifill, who moderated the debate between Republican Palin and Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden, celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported on Friday.
It will be the third time that Fey has skewered the self-described hockey mom on SNL, which has seen its ratings soar thanks largely to the Emmy-award winning “30 Rock” actress’s uncanny resemblance to Palin.![]()
Fey’s Palin skits have racked up more than five million viewings on the official SNL website alone, and hundreds of thousands more have watched on YouTube in the last three weeks.
After Fey/Palin asked last week whether she could “phone a friend” while struggling in her interview with journalist Katie Couric/Amy Poehler, which lifeline might Fey/Palin use this time?
Ask the audience, maybe?

Many right wing supporters point out gaffs by the other candidates in her defense. They completely miss the issue; several interviews have proven Sarah Palin is incompetent, self righteous and dangerous. It is not about gaffs.
- Posted by Brad“Palin for Prez. The liberals have never been so scared.” Liberals are scared, and so should be you and everyone who is not yet brainwashed by Carl Rove and his crew.

Caps lock: it’s 7/16″ away. Turn it off.
Perhaps you and other conservatives would be more liked if you didn’t feel the need to shout to try and get your points across.
Relax, enjoy life, take your blood pressure medication, and try to have a sense of humor. Remember, don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out of it alive.

- Posted by Mike ShawAs evident by the tremendous response, Tina Fey has brought many old viewers and new viewers to SNL via her tremendous impersonation of Gov. Palin.. I haven’t seen this much response in a long time.. I only wish SNL can get them both on.. I.E., Belushi and Joe Cocker.. I would compare this political impersonation to the likes of Dana Carvey and Perot, Bush Sr… and Will Farrel and George W. Bush.. I hope they pay Tina well.. I’m sure she’s enjoying the ride as we all are..
- Posted by John MurphySNL is not as good as the old days, but Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is one of the best skits in years. You would expect hollywood to support democrats more, probably because they think it would hurt their careers if they admitted they were indeed Republicans, but that is a different story. Has SNL openly endorsed one candidate over the other? I don’t think so. Their parodies are meant to be FUNNY, nothing more to it.
- Posted by BobQ: What is the difference between the tax & spend democrats and the borrow & spend republicans?
A: Not much.
Our first and greatest President George Washington said, “Paper money has had the effect in your State [Rhode Island] that it ever will have, to ruin commerce–oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice.”

I wonder if her winking and acting cheerleader like is what led the pakistani president to comment on her looks and of course, she said, you are so nice.
- Posted by SophiaOkay, first off, I pay pretty close attention to the election news and I’ve never heard a word about Obama saying he’d been to 57 states.
On the topic of Fey/Palin, as funny and dead-on Fey’s impersonation is, she’s only appealing to people who were already inclined to vote liberal. Conservatives in this country are like sheep: the base will vote for whoever the party puts in front of them. Not saying liberals are any different, but let’s face it, 27% of voters STILL think W is doing a good job! ‘Nuff said
- Posted by Kevin in ChicagoTo “I HATE LIBERALS!!!”– What are you talking about?? There is no one the show makes fun of more than the Clintons. While I do agree that NBC News has a liberal bias, SNL has gone out of their way to be fair and bash both sides, as they did last week with Bill Clinton on Weekend Update and Hillary Clinton in the season opener two weeks ago.
- Posted by PatrickI got ahead of myself, what i meant to say was *BUT YES THE LIBERAL MEDIA IS CAPITALIZING ON SARAH PALIN BEING COMPLETELY UNQUALIFIED FOR HER ROLE. before you insult me on that issue.
- Posted by Brandon RudickTYPING IN CAPS REALLY GETS MY POINT ACROSS. Biden may have not correctly quoted what happened during the 1929 stock market crash but FDR definitely had something to do with putting an end to it wether it be newspaper or radio. Does the “New Deal” ring a bell to you? Granted it didn’t really produce anything until the 40’s, but you can’t tell me that it had nothing to do with America getting out of the depression. And I’m sure you’ll bring up WWII, the difference is now we aren’t buying American made military goods, rather foreign goods that republicans support. BUT YES THE LIBERAL MEDIA IS MAKING IS CAPITALIZING ON SARAH PALIN BEING COMPLETELY UNQUALIFIED FOR HER ROLE. Want to argue some more? Go for it.
- Posted by Brandon RudickI\’m almost speechless. The only thing I can say is that it is truly scary that there is a good chance that Palin could be president someday.
- Posted by JoeLet’s see: First, lower the expectation on the future V.P.
- Posted by Joe SigspekCoaching the gal to forget about proper English, to totally ignore the questions and to regurgitate the stock spews, and don’t forget to call the Senator by his first name (it worked with Gibson). SNL writers should have plenty to work into a few minutes’ sketch.
Palin is such a tool, and damn it… Tina Fey has a gift…let her resemblance to Sarah Palin shine and be a beacon hope, that one day the nation will look back and say 10 years from now,…” Wow gee, remember that Sarah who woman that old man McCain chose to be his running mate? She was hoot. Can you believe a candidate would be so desperate to win the presidency he would pick an unqualified evolutionist to be VP.
Rock on TINA FEY! Rock on!!!
- Posted by Mark Von HoldenIn fact when we have long forgotten about Palin, maybe Tina can run for president. As we can see anyone can run for VP these days why not a talented comic writer. At least we will know who’s writing her speeches:)
she is the man
- Posted by Vito PalmieriFey is the man
- Posted by Vito PalmieriI can only hope the SNL skit will continue to make Sarah Palin the laughing stock she is…winking is not a skill I deem necessary for a US VP. She is so ill prepared to be the Vice President that I question John McCain’s qualities to be President for his selection of her as his running mate.
- Posted by Molly KahnTYPICAL LIBERAL SHOW. ITS FUNNY THEY NEVER MADE FUN OF THE FACT THAT OBAMA SAID HE HAS BEEN TO 57 STATES OR ALL OF THE MISTAKES BIDEN MAKES. TELLING PEOPLE IN WHEEL CHAIRS TO STAND UP AND SAYING THAT F.D.R WAS PRESIDENT WHEN THE STOCK MARKET CRASHED IN 1929 AND THAT HE GOT ON TV AND TALKED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHEN IN REALITY HE WASN’T PRESIDENT IN 1929 AND THERE WAS NO T.V. LOOK THE FACT IS SNL HASN’T BEEN FUNNY IN MANY YEARS AND THEY ARE REALLY DESPERATE FOR RATINGS. A BIT MORE BALANCE IN THE SHOW WOULD BE NICE BUT LIBERAL BIAS IS EXPECTED ON NBC.
