Movies are an effective media because it is a global form of entertainment, and also a lot of Hollywood icon figures - Such as George Clooney and Angelina Jolie - are active in this field as well as humanitarian issues. Oliver Stone and the rest of the star cast taking part in this movie are hardly pioneers, many political figures and events were subject to Hollywood's critique, and if this movie came as a shock to some people then it is surprising it did. What with the mess and controversy plaguing this particular US administration for eight years I was actually expecting such a movie for quite some time. We tend to pass over Hollywood stars as shallow overpaid people with a tendency to excessive partying and drinking whose main accomplishments is providing tabloids with fresh writing material, but that is a tired stereotype ... The US movie industry has the likes of afore mentioned George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Oliver Stone, Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman to name a few of people who are aware of issues that effect people on the street on the national and international level, and so take upon themselves to use their prowess on and behind the camera for the benefit of commentary and different viewpoints on issues that effect all of us. It is a type of verbal victimisation/persecution and causes a great deal of pain and suffering to their target groups. With regard to your exaggerated, scattalogical and illogical ideas about what 'might' happen, this is simply a manifestation of your minds condition, and a classic mode of pseudo self-fulfilling prophesies, held up as dire warnings of biblical corruption in order to express your unfounded fears. That these might be dressed-up in religious references, is irrelevant, here. Sodom and Gomorrah is thus transposed to the present as a template for what might become of us all if we do not stop being liberal. The dire 'woe and thrice woe' warnings are nothing more than a smoke screen.
