not a fan is so f’ing stupid, “motherhood tempers them both”, hell it hasn’t for Palin so why should it for Fey. Especially miss. fly 9 hours while in labor Palin!. SNL has always been meanspirited, you just didn’t like the fact that they messed with your girl Palin. Oh well, you’ll get over it honey.

I am writing a paper for school about how SNL effected the candidates? Do you believe the Fey’s Sarah Palin flushed the McCain campaign down the toliet? Or what about McCain’s appearance three days before the election?? SNL will be the new way to get in or out of the campaign race

My, so much anger and bitterness! Fey is nothing if not a master comedian, writer, and entertainer extraordinaire – all three of which were brilliantly demonstrated in her satirical depictions of the former candidate for vice president. This is what satirists do, and for her part, she excelled. Her ascendency in SNL and now to her own production, 30 Rock, reflect her intelligence, her business savvy, and her ability to both collaborate with and perhaps, out-compete, many of her male counterparts in the entertainment business. To suggest that she, or other strong women in the entertainment/media world (Katie Couric, included)have done some kind of disservice to America by doing the very jobs for which they have fought is to deny everything positive that they have achieved for themselves and all women who look to their examples and are inspired that they too can be successful pioneers in these and other traditionally male-dominated fields. Furthermore, the characterization of Barack Obama’s voting record as evil is simply laughable – you cannot hope to engage others with such irrational rhetoric if you hope to win them to your cause. Anything less quickly descends from constructive commentary or the free exchange of ideas into the murky realm of personal attack. Surely we can meet on a higher plane than that, even if it is to simply agree to disagree.

The difference a day makes: today, in the light of the coming Obama Administration, I feel nothing but pity for previous writer Terry (along with a reminder that our eductional system needs improvement!). For the last big chunk of my life, I would have heard in that posting a voice supported by power, along with its implicit threats to me personally and to droves of women (and other people) across the country.

Earth to Terry…is abortion all that mattered to you? Freedom of choice will always prevail over conformation. You sound like the world could go to hell in a handbasket as long as nobody has an abortion, but then you are probably a man, and you will never EVER have to make that important decision of whether to have an abortion or not.
There are plenty more problems on this earth to deal with, why dont you leave personal decisions to the people who are dealing with them.
PS What was Sarah Palins stand on people with disabilities prior to the birth of a child with downs syndrom. I would like to hear that, bet it wasnt even close to top priority.

tina fey was a judas goat that twisted the facts and people who didn’t do their homework were dumb enough to fall for. tina fey did her evil part to ruin the HOPES of many who needed some one to speak up for person’s with disabilities. tina fey was right about one thing, she shouldn’t be on the same stage with palin because fey is not “pagent quality” like she pointed out on late night talk show. tina fey, cattie couric, gloria steinman, (nag nag about “not qualified” because PALIN doesn’t fall into line with the old bats who want abortion!) cattie couric, gush gush over obama and slap people on the wrist in her tart fashion for pointing out the obvious about obama. well, those three women did a GRAVE DISSERVICE to the american public. they GOT the senator with the MOST EVIL abortion voting record in the senate. THAT is what those evil women pushed on through. they will meet their Maker and answer to Him.

What this REALLY proves… is that writer Tina Fey, (not Al Franken) is the former SNL scribe that should run for political office.

Tina is a pleasant liberal… and she’d be wise after 30 Rock to consider making the same move that Ronald Reagan made: Get into politics Tina, and just play yourself.

Adopting her first name Elizabeth as her after-entertainment name… and entering Pennsylvania politics… she could easily do what Franken failed to do. Create separation. A working mother as much as Palin, with a supportive husband, and Greek-American and German-American roots… what’s not to like?

I for one never cared for Tina Fey, even before Sarah Palin or 30 Rock. Yeah, she’s pretty and clever, but at the expense of mocking others. I realize SNL has always poked fun at others, especially politicians, but I find something mean-spirited about Tina and Amy Poehler, and don’t watch SNL much anymore. I hope motherhood tempers them both.
