Many people have been upset by the horrible joke circulated by a leading British Executive in the Times, however others seem to think its ok ? I have written to the newspaper to complain and invite others to do also.

the films that are nominated for the various awards are selected not for there entertainment value or for the quality of the scripts that,s why the selections are box office failures.the nominations are either a venue for an actor to get an award or a method for the industry to try and validate there moral standards of there political points of view ,that,s why my family walked away from being the viewing public.gay cowboys and lonely transvestites are ok but not our choice of entertainment thank you.

Where, oh where, is Melissa Leo? I’ve seen Frozen River and Changeling, and Ms. Leo’s performance was far superior to Jolie’s.

The Dark Knight was the best movie of the year hands down. It’s disgusting if the Academy does not recognize it with several wins. It will show howmuch they know.

Cate Blanchett! I’ve seen both The Changeling and Ben Button and Cate most definitely deserved the nomination over Angelina. Angie’s performance was flat and OTT and Cate’s was sensitive, subtle, & brilliant in handling the delicate balance of a character aging throughout the film. So real, so moving. I think I’ll be skipping these awards this year!
