“New Moon” clip coming to MTV Movie Awards
As if the appearance of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart wasn’t enough, “Twilight” fans just got another reason to watch the MTV Movie Awards at the end of the month.
Pattinson, Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to present the first clip from the vampire series’ highly-anticipated sequel “New Moon” on the awards show broadcast live on MTV on May 31.
That’s six months before “New Moon” hits movie theaters in November – and didn’t they only recently start shooting it?
Does this mean that producers expect the teen vampire flick to fly off with the “Best Movie” golden popcorn award — or most of the six other trophies, including “Best Kiss,” that it has been nominated for?
Given the fact that voting for the “Best Movie” category will remain open throughout the live show this year, it’s all in the hands of “Twilight” fans to beat off the competition from Oscar champ “Slumdog Millionaire” .

I hope Pattinson wins. He’s been the highlight of the last year for me and I cant wait to see him in Unbound Captives as a white Comanche.
this is mtv’s great way of ensuring they will have many many viewers all across the world! good plan! i know i’ll be watching!!
I haven’t watched the MTV movie awards in years (I think they are a joke) but this year will be a different story. I am so thrilled to see the clip that I can hardley sit still. I haven’t looked forward to something this much since Christmas morning at age 7.
Like it was said above that be showing the clip they expect an increase in their target viewers which is the Twilight/HSM crowd scarily these days… I am 23 but will def still be watching it!
Also most the filming for New Moon is done the only thing left unshot is the Italy scenes and then the rest of the time will be spent editted and adding effects:( I personally wish they had started sooner
