A month after the “Thriller” singer’s sudden demise, socialite Paris Hilton has laid claim to being the inspiration behind the naming of Jackson’s 11-year-old daughter.

Paris Hilton told celebrity TV show “Extra” that her family were close friends with Jackson. Her mother, Kathy, went to school with him for a paris-hiltonwhile in California “and they were best friends since they were 13.”

“So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay, and of course she said ‘yes’ and I think she’s such a beautiful little girl and I’m proud we have the same name,” Hilton told Extra.

Elizabeth Farr calls her therapy “ABC” in tribute to the early Jackson 5 hit song and says she came up with the idea while treating some 10 grieving Michael Jackson fans in her practice in Los Angeles.

Paul McCartney does not have his songs back from Jackson, but he feels fine


Paul McCartney has put to rest any lingering questions about whether Michael Jackson bequeathed to Macca his rights to songs by The Beatles. The reports began surfacing paul-mccartneybefore Jackson died two weeks ago, but when the King of Pop’s will was released last week it contained no reference to any such transfer.

In a post on his website, McCartney wrote that it was all a case of the media getting it wrong.

Would you exchange your Michael Jackson O2 tickets?

More than 50 million pounds worth of tickets were sold to see Michael Jackson perform at London's O2 Arena where he was scheduled for a series of 50 concerts before his death.

The King of Pop's run at the O2, scheduled to kick off in July, would have been the highest-grossing single concert engagement.

The number of fans hungering to say goodbye to the King of Pop more than doubled on Saturday, days before a special memorial service is due to be held in Michael Jackson’s honor.

A firm involved with organizing the event said on Saturday that 1.6 million people had registered for free tickets by late evening, up from half a million registrants for the lottery a day earlier.

Summer ’09: A Hollywood Requiem


Every year in Hollywood when the long, hot days of summer set in, some story comes along to shakeMichael Jackson up the media, and reporters seem to bite into it like a dog with a bone. Absent anything else going on in town, that story is becomes the tale of Hollywood’s summer.

So far, early in this summer of 2009,  the story has been celebrity deaths. When Karl Malden died yesterday, he was added to a growing list of celebrities who either died after long illnesses or suddenly, topped off by the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson WILL have a funeral, right??


jessicaIts been a full week since Michael Jackson died.  So …. When is the King of Pop’s funeral? And where?

So far, the answers have proven surprisingly elusive.

Though Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, has had time to turn up at the BET awards and plug his new record label, the family hasn’t uttered a word about the possibility of a funeral or memorial service.
