Most producers are bound by a priori expectations of what &quot;good yields&quot; look like (or, in some cases, like France, by explicit caps on yield per acre). Their benefits from higher temps are limited to earlier harvest dates, and they are more than offset by losses due to the competition from places like British Columbia, where vinifera could not be profitably grown pre-GW.</description>
