All you have to do is remove the &gwh= and everything after it from the URL after you’ve hit the paywall. The article shows right up. Who in their right mind is going to pay instead of taking such a simple action??

Here’s a few guesses:

1) They hired a consulting firm like McKinsey for advice.
2) They hired an investment banker for advice.
3) It really only cost them $4 million, but they hired a PR firm, which told them to say it cost $40 million.

If it really cost them $40 million then the paywall is irrelevant, as they won’t last much longer.
