I don’t really bike in NYC any more, but whether I’m a pedestrian or driving a car, I try pretty hard not to steal other people’s right-of-way, and I get annoyed when other people do steal someone else’s right-of-way.

One of the worst things I’ve seen, though, was just a week ago, when I was out running during morning rush hour, along a road with a nice, wide asphalt path next to the road; I was running on the side of the path farthest from the road and almost got run over from behind by a pick-up truck that was entirely off the road. I find it amazing that someone even had it in his head to do that.
