Here's why? He isn't exactly a typical illegal (or for that matter legal) immigrant. The illegitimacy rate among Hispanics is high and rising faster than that of other ethnic groups; their dropout rate is the highest in the country; Hispanic children are joining gangs at younger and younger ages.
