The original creator of these extraordinary style of shoes was Christian Louboutin. These days there are many companies that are making elegant women’s shoes, along with the distinct red sole. These types of shoes are one of the trendiest shoes around, which is apparent from their outstanding demand! Women love to shop for these cheap red bottom shoes, and these shoes usually are in demand during the time of year while they are at a price reduction. However, the common trend is that these shoes aren’t on a discount during the holiday seasons when people love to go shopping for themselves as well as their family.

My touchstone event on all of this has remained LTCM, and my first reaction when this started was that event. That lesson has never been learned. Then I came here for the salacious details. Love that Meriweather’s name has already been invoked, etc. One of the big problems on all of this is between around 300M Americans and about an equal number of Europeans maybe 30K even know what LTCM stands for, let alone what happened.

By the way, pondering all of this I stumbled across a paper from a prof at Columbia on Kerviel that Felix followers will at least find interesting

If someone recalls, there was a SocGen analyst that about a year ago predicted that the outcome of the Greek thing would be the collapse of the EU. It was good analysis at the time, it is looking better by the day. I think it may have been in Reuters, but maybe not. Anybody else remember that?

Too many people on Wall Street getting into deals they simply didn’t understand – this is probably another case of that.

Theft is theft, whether the victim is a bank FDIC or brokerage SIPC customer does not matter. I would argue it is even worse for a brokerage. With banks, everyone knows that they lend out deposits. Its their business. Here there is no other answer than jail for those who stole the customers’ assets

You mean like Meriweather’s? Part of the reason that 1%ers are despised is that ‘mistakes’ like this don’t end bankster careers or end their time as 1%ers. We haven’t seen the last of Corzine. I’m sure he’ll find a job somewhere that will pay him a $1 million salary (hedge fund, lobbyist, whatever) because he walks in the circles of the 1%, and other 1%ers will want to gain access to the 1%ers that Corzine knows.
