f every child was promised an education there would be less hopelessness in our youth.

If I had all that money I would deffinitly help individual people out. There are so many people who are trapped in situations like me. I am raising my grandchildren getting a divorce and am in deep debt. I have one goal and that is to give these children a better life away from the city. I will move them to the country but I have nothing. So I am stuck here in a bad environment and trying to keep a positive attitude for the kids sake but I am so sad deep in side. There are alot of people in this same predictiment. So I would seek these people out and secretly give them enough money to ensure the future of their lives.
- Posted by Susan WeaverIt would probably do the most good in funding for major diseases like AIDS / CANCER or major environmental causes like the works of the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). I would also probably be doing a lot of charity works.

We really must consider these people. Let us help them see that there is still a bright future ahead of them.

If I had that much money, I would raise my own army and take over the world. Obliterate 2/3 of the population and start off fresh. Then I would build a space station to reside in and rule the world from my steel throne since obviously human beings are too stupid to get along or do anything right. Gee..good thing I’m not that rich huh…heheheh
- Posted by MIt would be Great to create something similar to the NOBEL Prizes.
The money could be invested intelligently - and the interest could be awarded to other professions that do no quality for a NOBEL prize
But that have been essential in making the world a better place
a Gate-Buffet Prize

Blease don’t attack each other. It makes the attacker look silly. I think Warren Buffett has a perfectly valid reason for donating the majority of his wealth to the Gates Foundation. He said that they are the best equipped non-profit to deal with such a huge cash flow each year. Most other groups are tiny in comparison to the Gates foundation’s cash flow.
I fully support many of the missions of the Gates Foundation. I think all citizens of our globe are entitled to full access to quality healthcare and free public education. Feeding the masses is also very important.
One of my personal areas I’d like to see more work done in is Environmental Protection. We have to work with developing countries to both protect land, but also education the surrounding populations of ways to conserve the land. Starving people don’t care about the environment, they care about filling their pitiful bellies!
Kudos to Buffet for demanding his money be spent on a fixed timeline. We don’t want another beamoth of “charity” to spend 90% of it’s funds on administration while only 10% gets spent on it’s mission. Thank you Warren, I appreciate your philanthropy!
