Yes, the people who call themselves Christians certainly know how to turn Christ’s doctrine right on its head!
Protest and in the same context preach condemnation, judgement and encourage the bigots and nasties to persecute and victimise people because they have different sexual proclivities?
My, what a Christian way to show the world what brotherly love and inclusion really is?
Pardon me, but are these protestors from the Twilight Zone? Did we miss something?
I don’t think so, these retro bigots spouting off their mumbo jumbo are really just a bunch of hypocritical fakes, wearing the badge of Christianity yet behaving in a profoundly anti-Christian way.
Do they think Christ would approve of this kind of demonstation of non-love? No - he would be appalled and probably tell them to stop casting stones.
Remember the story of Christ saving the adultress from death by stoning?
He said ‘let he who has not sinned throw the first stone!’. Although I don’t actually believe being gay is a sin at all.
Think about that all ye protestors, and think again if you actually believe your actions are justified or just plain wrong and anti-Christian.
Christ died on the cross for all of us - remember?
- Posted by The Truth Is...It is right to say that Christ is mercy and that he saved the adulteress from death by stoning. And that Christ also died on the cross for all of us. But besides, Christ also denounced clearly what was WRONG.
- Posted by AureoFor instance: when he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting, he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables.
Another example: when he discussed with the Sadducees about the resurrection he replied: ‘Do you therefore err, because you know not the Scriptures, neither the power of God?
So God love the gays but not their misconduct!
Is there so much love in the world that we should deny happiness to a whole set of people? It should not be a crime or considered a sin to share joy in each other’s company. If gays’ marriages reflect on mine, what about the neighborhood jerk who’s heterosexual but beats up his wife?
As Nobel prizewinner Piet Hein said, “Co-existence or no-existence.”
