Inside the Tent: The Unseen Bean

By Reuters Staff
August 27, 2008

Gerry Leary is the owner of “The Unseen Bean” and one of the country’s few blind coffee roasters. He speaks to Inside the Tent contributor Lauren Shannon about his advocacy work for the disabled as he serves up free coffee so that DNC bloggers can “be wide awake and write like mad.”

Inside the Tent has more than 40 delegates and other attendees in Denver and St. Paul, equipped with video cameras to capture the conventions from the ground up. Shannon is not a Reuters employee and any opinions expressed are her own.
