Which presidential candidates are most likely going to keep their annual New Year’s resolutions? Republican Mike Huckabee and Democrat Hillary Clinton, according to a poll of female voters.![]()
A Lifetime/Zogby poll released on Wednesday asked the question to see how women viewed the trustworthiness of candidates contesting the state-by-state battles to pick Democratic and Republican nominations for the presidential election on Nov. 4, 2008.
The poll showed 18 percent of Republican women believed Huckabee would stick to a New Year’s resolution, with Mitt Romney and John McCain coming in just behind at 16 percent. Clinton received 32 percent support among Democratic women, with Barack Obama on 19 percent and John Edwards at 12 percent.
To explore how comfortable female voters felt with candidates, they were asked who they would most like to sit next to on an airplane. Again Clinton won out among Democrat voters, followed by Obama and Edwards, while Rudy Giuliani was favorite with Republicans, closely followed by McCain and Huckabee.
