NEW YORK - The creator and star of last summer’s YouTube sensation “I got a crush … on Obama” plan to hit the streets of New York City suburbs on Super Tuesday to urge Democrats to get out and vote for Sen. Barack Obama in the New York primary.obamawoman.jpg

Ben Relles, who was able to leave his job in marketing to run an Internet video company after the huge success of “Obama Girl”, told Reuters he and model Amber Lee will go door-to-door with a camera crew in the suburbs before ending the day at a party at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York’s East Village to watch election returns.

“Obama Girl,” a tongue-in-cheek send up of music videos that pairs a scantily clad woman with images of the presidential hopeful, has been viewed millions of times.

Relles and his collaborators have since produced 56 internet videos they say are designed to “make politics sexy again.”
