Another Clinton gets emotional

NEW YORK - Sen. Hillary Clinton wasn’t the only Clinton getting emotional on Monday.

“You’re the closest person to my heart,” Chelsea Clinton told her mother as they participated in a voter town hall, “and I’m getting a little emotional.”

chelsea1.jpgHer comments came as Chelsea Clinton introduced a question from an audience member on health care, a topic she said was close to the hearts of her mother and herself.

Such open expression is unusual for the 27-year-old daughter of Hillary and former president Bill Clinton. She rarely speaks in public and generally declines to speak to members of the press.

It came just hours after her mother grew visibly moved, with tears glistening in her eyes, while being given a warm introduction at a campaign appearance at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

The show of emotion was reminiscent of the roundtable discussion Clinton held with voters the day before the New Hampshire primary, when she choked up and got teary. Many observers say the display of feeling helped turn voter support her way in New Hampshire, where she won the presidential nominating primary, after losing in Iowa.

To SmackJack the Huckabee supporter-

To imply Obama is related to Saddam purely because they shared a name is beyond perplexing. Are you related to Jack the Ripper because you have a ‘Jack’ in your name here?

It’s clear Clinton is regretting Florida and Michigan’s lack of delegates to guarantee her a comfortable win in the primaries, but with her overwhelming superdelegate support she should win without problems. The woman’s ruthless and talented, and now even has Ann Coulter’s support (over McCain). That says something in itself.

Really, i think that people should just stop beating up on hillary. The media harrasses her when she comes off as cold and uncaring. However, she shows the slightest bit of emotion and people say she’s just a homornial woman. Give the woman a break, check out this video where she respondes to the media accusations against here. it’s pretty cool.

My reponse to Awele Odigo.

Who the hell elected the US ruler of the world? What arrogance. And if not Obama, then McCain? You’d rather vote a republican that Clinton? Good luck to you. America will never see peace if everyone thinks like you.

My impression is that none of the guys here who make nasty comments on politicians performance could actually do it. So stop complaining, stop racism and stop making nasty comments about female politicians!

Smack Jack’s comment is rude and racist! It should not be allowed to make this kind of comment and should be deleted! I am in the UK and I support
Barack Obama and Hillary!

have you people not learned anything? Obama or Clinton would make better choice than any f***ing republican. Only a moronic nation would have let Bush stay for 2 disastrous terms of office. You never learned from history. The Republicans make enemies with everyone. “Either you are with me or against me”, sounds familiar?

I remember the time when Carter was prez. He didn’t go to war with Iran even when Iran held hostage of your embassy in Teheran.

Then Reagan and Bush Sr took over and there was war after war after war. When Clinton took office, there was peace again.

Then Bush Jr and….wham!! 9/11. Guess why?

Ever wondered why Sadam and Osama who were once US allies turned against your nation? Or did they?
Who turned against who?

Do not vote Republican warmongers in! The world needs some peace.

I would like to believe that many of the comments made on here are coming from pubescent adolescents, but judging by the content of Reuters, I reluctantly assume that is not so.

I remember one of my professors comment on what he morbidly observed was a great weakness of the political process in a Republic: That politicians must unfortunately cater the the very least common denominator, no matter how ignorant and prejudicial they may be.

I see here some prime examples of this denominator, and it saddens me.

But what do I know, I’m just a college student, and you are all my elders, ripe with experience and a greater understanding of the world.

Well check again Linda, because pakistan is NOT in the middle east.

Yeah, Right, Just what we need in the Whitehouse. An emotional blabbering woman running the country by menopause. Just think of the possibilities! God help us all if she wins. Slick Willy is waitin!

A “weeping” president is not what it takes to rule the world. Americans should stop taking this election as just an “American affair” because whatever happens in the U.S resonates around the world. If not Obama, then McCain. Anyone but the Clintons!

I will see how damn stupid you americans are. THIS WOMAN AND HER HUSBAND WILL BURY YOUR REPUTATION AS A NATION SHOULD SHE GETS TO WHITE HOUSE. THAT’S THE FAKEST FAMILY I HAVE EVER SEEN! If you are that stupid of not ¨reading¨ this woman then you’re pathetic, MORONIC PEOPLE. SHE WANTS TO WIN AT ANY COST, SHE’S GOT NO HONOR, NEEDLESS TO SAY ABOUT OL’BILL.I will never have respect for any american if Hillary Clinton wins the WH. NEVER!

There’s going to be plenty to be emotional about when Barack Obama routs Clinton. Senator Clinton will not be president because, beyond the National Organization for Women, she’s not a popular candidate. In fact, let’s get real please, she has high negatives. John McCain will be the next president if Hillary, tissue in hand, somehow manages to scoot past Barack, which I doubt will happen. Obama has tremendous momentum. People do not want a resurrection of the 1990s. We remember the failings and polarisation of the Clinton Administration. Her great leadership ability lost health care reform for a generation. Hillary is the establishement, status quo candidate. Did she fight for medical coverage for employees of Walmart when she was a Board member? You can have her!

right on alex! and just cause she can cry easier than her opponents does not make her a better person…better actor, maybe.

Oh yeah, yet another emptional moment to get my vote with perfect timing. The Clintons will do anything it takes to get power! I do not want another presidency riddled with bitter partisanship and strugle over power. We need someone to heal this nation, not to divide it further. Go Obama!

you, to bad Obama was not in the Senate to SHOW US how he would of voted. Like everything else, he is all talk.

Classic Response Alex! Lets go Barack!

- Posted by J lucas

Yeah Alex, last time I checked Pakistan was still in the Middle East and BO wants to take them on.

BO is not ready. His ‘present’ votes and ‘pushed the wrong button’ excuse have served him well. He has left little paper trail.

A man that stands for nothing will fall for anything. That is an accurate description of BO.

GO HILLARY

- Posted by Linda

Can you imagine Hillary, facing a crisis akin to 9/11 and her response is to cry?

Face it folks, she’ll do ANYTHING to get elected, even cry on demand.

…and watch-out for Barack Hussein Obama, ever wonder why he railed against the US going into Iraq? Perhaps that was his cousin (Saddam Hussein) we took out a few years back.

As for me, and my family, we will

Vote Pro-Life

Vote Pro-America

Vote for Mike Huckabee

- Posted by SmackJack

Yeah Steve, imagine him not sending over 100 thousand troops into the Middle East for no apparent reason and not costing tax payers trillions of dollars… it would just be awful.

Go Hillary

BO is not ready. Can you imagine him handling national security issues?
