Well one of the Bush clan finally came out in support of Republican presidential frontrunner John McCain.
After sitting on the sidelines for months, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush threw his support behind the Arizona senator while his older brother, President George W. Bush, tries to stay out of the nomination contest.
The younger Bush offered his endorsement of McCain describing him as a “devoted conservative leader”, trying to bolster his position with conservatives in the Republican party, many of whom have viewed the lawmaker with skepticism and some outright disdain.
“He is determined and steadfast in his commitment to reducing the burden of high taxes, restoring the people’s trust in their government, and winning the war against radical Islamic extremists,” Bush said in a statement released by McCain’s campaign.
Big brother Bush over the weekend also said McCain was a “true conservative” but refused to offer an endorsement to either McCain, who has a commanding lead among delegates for the nomination, or his closest rival former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

- Posted by PenelopeThe USA and world is in dire need of Statesmanship! And quite frankly, Senator Obama has demonstrated that he is a Statesman, fulfilling a non-political vacuum that represents the interest of All. He is leading in the same vein as the following visionaries with extraordinary Statesmanship.
* A great statesman is he who knows when to depart from traditions, as well as when to adhere to them.
- John Stuart Mill
* And statesmen at her council met Who knew the seasons when to take Occasion by the hand, and make The bounds of freedom wider yet.
- Lord Alfred Tennyson,
* Peace. commerce, and honest friendship with all nations–entangling alliances with none.
- Thomas Jefferson, in his first inaugural address
* We say that someone occupies an official position, whereas it is the official position that occupies him.
- Georg Christoph Lichtenberg
* Honest statesmanship is the wise employment of individual manners for the public good. - Abraham Lincoln
- Posted by Ricardo RoseThe moral and ethical dilemma continues; in that, people theoretically start out pursing their burning desire of becoming an effectual public servant advocate. Too often, some individual advocacy perceptions are rather limited in scope, and subsequently undermining, because they don’t view human problems and challenges as one challenge to the entire nation. That being said, their advocacy becomes restricted to selfish propositions that overwhelmingly, undermine and restrict our rightful potential for REAL and TRUE Greatness . . . that none of us has experienced!!!
Unfortunately, any so-called Public Servant that doesn’t respect the official position that occupies him or her in their quest of serving the people can’t be expected to serve with honorable distinction. Meaning, serving the best interest of ALL the people!!! Not the political party, not the financial contributors, not people who are part of their inner circle!!! Serving with distinction means you have learned to listen to the masses of citizens who await . . . Real and True Leadership with vision and Statesmanship. We know the difference, so please stand on Truth and serve with distinction! Thanks Senator Obama for Standing Up!
