Clinton regales Wisconsin with duck-hunting yarn

WAUSAU, Wisc. - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told of a duck-hunting expedition she took in Arkansas years ago, as she sought on Monday to assure rural voters in hillary.jpgWisconsin she would not infringe on their right to own a gun.

“I was with a bunch of my friends — all men. You know the sun’s up. The ducks are flying,” Clinton told an audience in Wausau, Wisconsin.

The New York senator and former first lady said the group decided to play a trick on her.

“They said, ‘We’re not going to shoot, you shoot.’ They wanted to embarrass me. So the pressure was on. So I shot and I shot a banded duck. They were as surprised as I was,” Clinton said.

Clinton is battling with Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for Wisconsin, which holds its primary on Tuesday. Clinton also mentioned she knew how to hunt when she held a town hall meeting in Kenosha on Saturday.

“My father taught me to shoot 100 years ago,” Clinton, 60, jokingly said in Kenosha.

At the Wausau event, a man in the audience suggested she might be able to give Vice President Dick Cheney hunting lessons, referring to the 2006 incident in Texas in which Cheney accidentally shot his friend.

Clinton laughed and said that once Cheney leaves office, the Secret Service will not be around “to protect people from him.”

“We better be careful about where he goes hunting,” she said.

The media is trying to play down the fact that obama used someone else’s words to try to make him self a good orator. It is time we learn some more about obama. He tries to make himself squiky clean. If we dig deep enough we will find more. Like he claims he was only a friend to rezko. now it turns out that it was not 5 months, but 15 years. Do not be fooled by empty words, we need to see plans. I do not think he has any.

Obama is the real thing. Clinton is hostage to special-interest groups and is too hawkish on foreign policy. America needs change, and Obama is the only one who can re-invigorate U.S. politics.

Enough of the old establishment. Let’s bring some new blood to Washington, D.C.

Both Senators Clinton and Obama have plans that can be read right here on Reuters. The question is plagiarism. Obama was Ivy league educated and at one time a professor (or so I’ve heard) so for him to say plagiarism is no big deal is Wrong. I know of a student at a local University who was suspended for plagiarism and students at local high schools can receive a failing grade, as well as forfeit of class credit for plagiarism so why is it that Obama’s mistakes are No Big Deal? His teen drug use, his relationship with Rezko…To quote Ann Coulter “…the gravest danger facing most black Americans today is the risk of being patronized to death.” Well Ann may or may not be right but it is time for Senator Obama to realize his words do influence some young people who can suffer some serious academic consequences for following his path.

Melody, old melodies… Anything that Billary sells their 50ish white women supporters are buying! This is not about a woman breaking the “ultimate glass ceiling” that the ultra feminists are describing. This is about a pair that will do EVERYTHING just to get back in the White House! Now imagine the “true” Bill that we see more and more everyday running amok in the White House with a score of new interns! Imagine Hillary finding out while she has her fingers near the RED launch button! Why anybody will want it? Why anybody will want another Clinton in the house after another Bush in the house? And don’t forget that Chelsea and Laura could be in future picture also!
I do prefer RETHORIC, even “borrowed” rhetoric instead of all of the above!

Just the Match point that will ever be the best and forever, with all the hyphens

Looks like Hillary will soon have a lot more time to hunt… her buddies will be thrilled.

I know I will.

EuLupu,

Here is a feminist that supports Obama, and I dont’ think Clinton is bad, either.

I don’t think it’s accurate to say that feminists want a woman in office just because she is a woman. And I hope you don’t oppose the possibility for the same reason. Be careful about lumping people into a category. People who support Clinton may actually do so because they support her policies, not because they are taken in.
