NEW YORK - When Elton John plays a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on April 9 in New York, he may want to choose his song list carefully.
Clinton knows as well as anybody the importance of a song in politics.
Last May, she used videos posted on the YouTube Web site to ask viewers to vote for a campaign song. The winning anthem was Celine Dion’s “You and I.”
Songs played repeatedly at her rallies include Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” and Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s “Takin’ Care of Business.”
Songs Elton John might want to avoid: “Rocket Man,” “The Bitch is Back,” “I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues,” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
Songs with the right message: “I’m Still Standing,” “It’s Me That You Need” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”
Tickets will cost from $125 to $250 for the fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall.
“I’m not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does,” John said in a statement issued by the Clinton campaign. “I’m excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night.”

As a resident non-citizen, I am not allowed to donate money to the candidate I would like to support. How is it legal for a foreign citizen to perform such major fundraising?

Just as any American has the right to vote for whomever they want. Our country was founded on these principles. I recommend you watch the HBO series John Adams to re-educate yourself about the origin of our country and what it stands for…

- Posted by virgilPeople has the right to choose the candidate they wish to support for the Domocratic Leader. However, they should do it with both head and heart but not just only heart alone as this is about suitability of holding the highest office of a country of great nation.
People should compare notes to notes based on intelligent, experience and capability of putting words into actions.
Do not be bias in your pick, cos’ you may have to do with your head at the expense of the heart. But, as long as you have had these considerations prior to making the decision, just do it. It clearly shows how intelligent or less intelligent you are in making that decision.
For those who support for the sake of support, this does not matter as their objective are different.
May the best candicate prevail.

Of course Clinton’s Bosnia tale would have a strong negative effect–HRC’s lying or “misspeaking” constitutes a recognizable pattern, and reminds many of the cr*p from the previous Clinton administration.
What’s truly bizarre, though, is that HRC risks lying about “dumb” stuff. She must think she won’t get caught, although when she does get caught, she seems to casually shrug off her “misstatements.” It’s bizarre, almost pathological.
Here are three dumb lies that beg the question: Why would she lie about this relatively inconsequential stuff? And what does that say about her ability to tell the truth about difficult matters?
***Appearing on NBC’s DATELINE, Sen. Clinton told Jane Pauley that Chelsea was around the World Trade Center on the morning of Sept. 11th:
“She had gone on what she thought would be a great jog,” Hillary Clinton explained. “She was going down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She was going to get a cup of coffee and - that’s when the plane hit!”
Hillary’s dramatic story about her daughter’s close call with the Twin Towers became a media sensation. “At that moment, she was not just a Senator, but a concerned parent,” TODAY show’s Katie Couric told viewers on 9/18/2001.
TRUTH: In the Dec/Jan 2002 issue of TALK magazine, Chelsea wrote that she was staying at a friend’s apt in Union Square, 12 blocks away. Her friend called with news about the first plane crashing into the WTC. Chelsea turned on the TV and watched the second plane crash.
“I stared senselessly at the television,” Chelsea writes.
****Hillary started claiming she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary after she met him in 1995. Bill Clinton even included this “true” story in his 2004 autobiography. Thing is, HRC was born in 1947, and Edmund Hillary didn’t conquer Mt. Everest until 1953, when HRC was 6 years old.
TRUTH: In October 2006, a campaign aide finally admitted it was not true after all, that it was just a “sweet family story that her mother told her to inspire greatness.” This sweet story, however, had never before been mentioned anywhere.
***On numerous other occasions, including in her Iowa stump speech, Clinton has said, “We used to say in the White House that if a place is too dangerous, too small or too poor, send the First Lady.” And that lead to her being sent to Bosnia and coming under sniper fire.
TRUTH: Well, now we know.
Actually, what hasn’t been covered much are her cascading excuses or “misstatements” about this Bosnia tale, culminating in her saying this to KDKA radio in Pittsburgh on 3/25/08:
“I have written about this and described in many different settings and I did misspeak the other day,” Clinton said during a live 10-minute interview. “This has been a very long campaign….Last week for the first time in 12 years or so, I misspoke.”
Bizarro. No wonder Obama’s lead has grown. It’s a wonder it’s not even bigger.

Please do one of your truth analysis on Obama.
1. he initially lied about his ministers statements on TV and later admitted he had heard the remarks in his speech.
2. He lied on the campaign trail on passing a bill into that actually is still stuck in committee.
3. On the campaign trail, he used the same bill as an example of how he stood up to corporate interests, but his bill is actually an example of how he caves in to his large contributors - in this case EXELON and their execs who contribute and who fundraise (see NOv. 2006 issue of Harpers)
4. Obama is disingenous about his registed lobbyist congtributors. He took money from “individuals” who are registered washington lobbyists right up to the time he announced for a presidential run. He still can and does take money from the family of “registered lobbyists”. He takes money form state level lobbyists and he makes use of that campaign finance loophole “bundlers”.
5. In his speech in on MLK day he spoke about how President Kennedy helped his father get from Kenya to Hawaii in 1959 via an airlift that Kennedy started. Apparently, this is not accurate. Kennedy did not come up with the idea for the airlift. Kennedy contributed to a subsequent airlift in 1960.
6. And as far as Obama’s claim that he apparently was a result of his parents’ union at the 1965 Selma march: That, too, isn’t possible — without a time machine, Obama was born in 1961. This is waht Obama said - Apparently Obama also said the following: “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Alabama.”
6. We all know that Obama did not tell the truth about his campaign meeting with Canadian Officials.
7. Obama’s IL Senate record is something of a fabrication. His name was put on a lot of legislation that others worked on. This was done in order to beef up his resume for a run for the US Senate. Judicial Watch recently state that Obama deliberately did not leave a paper trail on his IL Senate year.
Let’s be fair here. It seems that fact stretching and resume embellishment and downright lieing seems to go with politicians running for office. Somehow it seems to me that men are allowed to do this, but women are not. Dobule standards have abounded in this campaign.

So she walked instead of ran to her van- false
The objection of her speaking about this experience was to exemplfy that she traveled to bosnia and other countries-true
She traveled to over 80 countries and her presence alone was loved internationally. true
Who knows what she might have informed by the government? true
Maybe the cia and fbi told her to be cautious.
So the lie was basically that she walked instead or ran to her van true
