Bill Clinton says there’s life after politics

clintonblair.jpgNEW YORK - There is a life after politics, Bill Clinton said on Friday, but he wasn’t talking to his wife.

While Hillary Clinton was taking her struggling bid for the Democratic presidential nomination down to the wire in Puerto Rico, the former U.S. president took a break from campaigning to help his old friend Tony Blair launch a new Faith Foundation.

The former British prime minister said he was inspired by the Clinton Global Initiative which aims to tackle poverty, AIDS and climate change.

Introducing Blair at the launch of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in New York, Clinton said: “I’ve learned there’s not only life after politics, there’s good life after politics, if you find something that you really believe in. He’s found something he really believes in.”

Of course there’s a good life when one is a millionaire.

How this could possibly relate to the average person who may be unemployed and can’t afford anything…or who is barely hanging on and paying outrageous prices for food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc. is beyond me.

This kind of fluff is a prime reason why I think that Mr. Obama will be inaugurated in January.

Mr. McCain (and his wife) are also millionaires who are out of touch with the “Average Joe…the Average Jill”. Mr. McCain is even out of touch with the average private, corporal, and young sergeant on the ground in SW Asia. He has deluded himself into thinking that they actually like surging around and jousting for the republican agenda.

Neither Mr. Clinton nor Mr. McCain get it. Mrs. Clinton says she gets it, but I seriously doubt it.

Somehow I think that Mr. Obama actually does get it.

I noticed yesterday that Mr. Cavuto of Fox fame & fortune has been broadcasting some ridiculous republican-sponsored “Vets for Freedom” nonsense. A young woman who looks like the typical Faux blonde came on to say that she is (or was) a “combat medic” who represents some 10,000 Hillary Clinton supporters who are going to march on Washington…and if Mr. Obama gets the nomination, she and they will vote for Mr. McCain so that victory can be achieved in Iraq and in Afghanistan as well.

Okay, okay…I’m slightly off the immediate subject. However, this stuff about Mr. Clinton and Mr. Blair is just so representative of the fantasy “let them eat cake” world in which these millionaire politicians all reside…tax free foundations and all.

So 10,000 of Hillary Clinton’s soldiers plan to march,if Mr.Obama wins and will then vote for Mr. McCain.Don’t they know that Hillary plans to withdraw the troops faster than Barak would? Are they sure that they are Democrats or are they wolves in sheep clothing?

Blair and Clinton are notable statesmen. Kudos to both.

I appreciate their engagement after their dedicated public service. Both left office with the highest approval ratings. Clinton’s rating was 63%. Impressive.

These Foundations are important to advance societal needs that governments cannot meet.

Both Clinton and Blair have a history of giving far more than most of their own personal wealth BACK to society.

COMPARe this with Obama:
Obama gave less than 1% (actually .4%) of his income before he ran for Senate. The average American gave 10%.

After elected to Senate, Obama gave a whopping 1%, then 5% when campaigning as DEM nominee for the President race.

THE most notable COMEDY of this entire election:
Edwards introduced Obama as “one who will advance the plight of the poor” in front of a group of Michigan voters.

Doubt these facts?
Check’em out on Google.

Hillary, the people’s candidate.

Bill has adjusted with time and carved out a life outside politics, but how is Hillary to make up for all those bills which she has run up trying to secure a nomination.

Hope Hillary is listening to what Bill has to say about life beyond politics but for the time being the lady is bent upon sharpening the divide in the democratic party.

Seeing the end of her 2008 campaign, Hillary is looking beyond and hopes to be up and running in 2012 election, should Obama fail to defeat McCain, towards which Hillary is contributing by hanging on till maximum damage is done.

Hey fellow bloggers, don’t you just being “moderated”? BTW, who’s moderating the moderator? Bill Clinton is a perfect example of an imperfect person doing some good. It also shows that the spirits of W.C. Fields and B.T. Barnum are alive and well–think about it.
