WASHINGTON - You knew she wouldn’t take this lying down.

Paris Hilton struck back Tuesday at Republican presidential candidate John McCain for running a campaign ad that likened Democratic rival Barack Obama’s celebrity to that of the blond socialite and to singer Britney Spears.

The video, posted on the Web site www.FunnyorDie.com, began with images of the 71-year-old Arizona senator: “He’s the oldest celebrity in the world, like super-old. Old enough to remember when dancing was a sin and beer was served in a bucket. But, is he ready to lead?”

Then the camera turned on the blond socialite, sitting on a poolside lounge chair in a skimpy leopard-print bathing suit.

“Hey America, I am Paris Hilton and I’m a celebrity too,” she said. “Only I’m not from the olden days and I am not promising change like that other guy. I’m just hot.”

“But then that wrinkly white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I’m running for president. And I want America to know that I’m like, totally ready to lead.”

She goes on to outline her energy policy, taking a little bit from both candidates running in the November presidential election: “limited offshore drilling with strict environmental oversight while creating tax incentives to get Detroit to make hybrid electric cars. … Energy crisis solved. “I’ll see you at the debates, bitches.”

On Sunday, Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, complained that the McCain ad was a waste of time and money. Hilton and her husband, a scion of the Hilton hotel chain, donated $4,600 to McCain’s White House bid.

Finally! Paris Hilton has stepped up to the plate and has said something that makes a lot of political sense. Senator McCain is too old to lead America!
He doesn’t understand Americans. And his comparison of Barak Obama to paris Hilton proves it.

lol paris hilton got a huge thing wrong. she’s not hot at all. unless girls that look like birds are hot. and then she’d be decent.. what a waste of a life.

U go girl!
Its beyond me why McCain should post and ad like that. Its one of those falacious arguements–falacy of false analogy, meaning they don’t connect! duh, so had Obama become a slutty celebutant or a wild-newly-divorced-mother-of-two singer? I dont think Obama makes for good juicy celebrity gossip material.

Paris- you are truly the moron of the century- why dont you figure out a plan to have a legitamate life- attempt to justify your very existance and find a life path that explains why you are here…..get a grip girl….when you look up joke in websters you get a picture of YOU

For Pete’s sake! Have someone proof your work before you publish it. You use Britney Spears and Paris Hilton interchangeably. Why would Paris Hilton strike back at McCain for an ad referring to Britney Spears? Are these two women interchangeable in your mind? I don’t like either one of them in particular, but neither do I like sloppy work in journalism.

I Just saw it and this dizzy half wit actually manages to outwit mccain. seriously if you are outwitted by paris hilton what hope is there?

As dumb as Paris sometimes seems to be, she seems pretty smart next to John McCain, who now seems pro-torture, and pro-Iraq war. Not learning anything from experience marks him as unfit in my view.

Paris is hot and McClain sucks.

Good for her for (finally) doing something that exhibits more than a smattering of native intelligence! She’s proved herself and put down McCain at the same time! Now, that’s REAL thinking!

A person who wants to be the “President of United States of America” should have high personal standards among other qualities necesary for that job. I have respected Sen. McCain since long time and I realy thought that he would make a good presint should he ever run for presidentcy one day but unfortunately he proved me wrong. All he does is pointing his finger. HE SURELY LOOKS VERY WEAK AND STUPID DOING THAT.
United States of America can not afford to be ruled by a weak soul as McCain.I never thought it would come a day that I would make a comment as such but I love my country and it deserves better than him.

Honestly, if we did not know her background and she had some polictical background we would support her. It shows that you can train anyone.

It seems that Paris Hilton has a much better plan for solving the Energy problem that Comrade Obama and that, for the most part, she agrees with McCain to Drill, Drill, Drill.
I was happy to see that she is not recommending that we blow our tires.

Miss Paris Hilton has now upstaged the Senators that are in the running for the office of the presidency. One, who has been in office for many years, having either done nothing, or little, to keep this nation out of the problem(s)it is now, in makes him part of the problem. The other, with little experience in anything, other than being a cult of personality figure, offers the same kind of insufficient change. Neither has done anything to resolve the current or other pressing problems this nation is up against. The more the candidates talk, one realizes just how little they have done and how little they offer. The energy answers are drill, develop, invent, research and explore while simultaneously conserving and keeping the environment clean. Get out of the way and let those that can do it; Do It!

The point of advertising is to get a message across to a large number of people in a very short amount of time. Whether you agree or not, McCain’s message is that Obama is a useless, vacuous celebrity without credentials. Paris Hilton was one example. America GOT the ad.

Paris represents America’s idle rich - so much access to the best in education and experience, yet no motivation to be better than a shell. America GOT the ad.

LOL! baby is this girl with it or what. Two of the biggest walking talking pol hacks just got their lunch handed to them by 100 pound blond bombshell! And to top it off she makes more policy sense than either of those two gas bags. Good lord have mercy baby a write in the vote for PARIS BABY! MCcandya@@ and Obamaaaaaramaaaaa you been beeatch slapped! God this is tooo FUNNNNNNY!

With a better energy policy than Obama, maybe the two (Obama and Hilton) shouldn’t be compared. As far as I can tell Obama is ALL fluff. But then again Obama thinks he is HOT too.

Nice job Paris!
Advice for her parents and others donating money to McCain: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE OLD GUY

Perhaps Mr. McCain ought to kick butt where his “handlers” are concerned and go with the following, Mr. & Mrs. Reader:

http://www.nfl.com/videos;jsessionid=AB1 132BACACF4033411541B08F73761A?videoId=09 000d5d80924c91

I won’t even consider voting for Mr. McCain until he gets off his sarcastic and disgusting high horse.

I am sick and damn tired of 1) republican race-baiting (e.g., G.H.W. Bush v. Michael Dukakis 1988; G.W. Bush v. John McCain 2000; McCain v. Barack Obama 2008) 2) republican religious preference-baiting (e.g., McCain v. Obama 2008) 3) republican sexual preference-baiting (e.g., G.W. Bush v. Ann Richards 1994) 4) republican hero-baiting (e.g., G.W. Bush v. John Kerry 2004 & McCain v. Obama 2008).

All of the preceding “baiting” and “card playing” are targeted at the “stupid vote”.

Even when it works (and it does work mind you), it is pathetic and disgusting. These are the practices of desperate republican candidates who know they are going to be defeated…and therefore have nothing to lose by using ads whose content came from the toilet and whose content should have been flushed, rather than fished out and handled by bare republican hands.

Unfortunately, even when they win, these desperate republican candidates can’t get the smell off, no matter how long they remain in office.
