Mitt's the better man but the passion against him rivals that Hamas v Israel.

Bush abandoned the fiscal conservatives and double downed on the religious conservatives. Out national debt is incredible!!! $9.5 trillion and to think Bill Clinton a democrat pushed it down to where it was a non-issue.

I love the extra $50 billion to Aids; Someone tell "W" that this isn't Brewster's Millions (ol' school reference).

Where have you gone fiscal conservatives?

"Its the economy stupid". John McCain picking Ohio and Michigan for rallies on the day he announces the VP pick probably means he's bringing former Governor Mitt Romney aboard.

Mitt has incredible economic experience and ability, and that's exactly what Sen McCain is weak in, so this will be an awesome team in the Presidency to tackle both our security and economic issues of the time.

I'm in Michigan and I have lots of Evangelical friends that support Romney, as well as Catholics and Jews. We'll be totally excited on the 29th if Mitt is brought onto the ticket!

No offence, but SURELY the American people would not dream of electing some guy of such an advanced age?

He is well passed retirement age and McCain might well become a liability that America saw coming?

Of course, Hills would LOVE McCain to trounce Obama - as would her memory-challenged husband who seems to have forgotten the important bits of his past.

Happy birth to John and best of luck for finding a suitable retirement home. I am sure Hills will visit you?

I'd guess McCain will pick Pawlenty.

Romney would be a good choice, if it weren't that too many evangelicals just won't vote for a Mormon.

If Obama picks Colin Powell or one of the Clintons, we are in trouble, folks. Otherwise, it will be tight, but McCain should eke out a victory.
