McCain to attend debate, Web ad claims victory already

WASHINGTON - Ah the Internet world, a place where things move very quickly — maybe too quickly in the political world.

Before Republican presidential hopeful John McCain announced he would attend the presidentialmccain1.jpg debate on Friday night in Mississippi, apparently an Internet advertisement slipped out onto the Wall Street Journal’s opinion page with it declaring he won the contest.

Here’s a screenshot of the Web advertisement as posted by the Washington Post in which it claims “McCain Wins Debate,” with him in the foreground and an American flag in the background.

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said the ad posting was a mistake by the Wall Street Journal.  Oops.

So, you think Rupert Murdock’s Wall Street Journal is a part of the media working to undermine the GOP ticket? Oh, they must be in cahoots with Fox. That darned liberal media is at it again.

Nice try, but the thing that McCain has been consistent about this whole campaign is his font. Optima. The ad is close, but no Optima.

Fake.

LOL! Dr. Strangelove strikes again! I hope someone in Hollywood makes a movie of this Republican charade. Truth IS stranger than fiction.

This was obviously a standard prepaid ad… which was scheduled to be released tomorrow, but was “accidentally” released by the WSJ this morning. Do you need more evidence of how the media is working overtime to undermine the GOP ticket?

The advertising office should issue a VERY PUBLIC apology!

The false information first came out in one of Rupert’s Rag’s. Amazing coincidence.
Seems to happen quite often in the Rag’s that Rupert owns. Last thing America needs are wacko’s from outside our borders owning our media.

I like John McCain like my Dad. My dad is a retired military man, has received a purple heart in the Vietnam War. He thinks that that War was the mother of all wars and without him, America would have been a communist Country. He thinks he and his fellows in the war saved the Nation. He likes to be admired day and nights including from my 3 years girl. He is so stubborn changes his meals, timing, menu and above all his cap for no good reasons. He has habit of changing our plans of daily routins without any reason, and we have to accept it. Many times he changed our vacation plans when we were ready to take a cab to the airport. But still I like my dad more than any one else. He will be 70 years on 4th November. But, if some one ask me wether my dad is good for our City Mayor, not only me and my family but my mother and my baby dog will also say in the middle of night NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Get It?

how embarrassing. sure that ad wasn’t pulled from the Onion?

“McCain Wins Debate….(REALLY small print)…in his own mind”

Another example of the McCain run as the most incompetent schizophrenic presidential campaign in recent history.

OOPS!!!
This maybe more than just a mistake, strange how McCain says he wont debate, than we have him ‘as the winner’ before the debate is due to start!!

” as posted by the Washington Post in which it claims “McCain Wins Debate,”

Don’t we have to have the debate first????
Maybe we should start being a little more aware of what is being announced and by who!

Does this mean we can just skip the election [which I suppose McCain has already won] and jump ahead 8 years [because I assume he's also won his second term in office] and finally begin to get America back on track? What the heck is this guy smoking??!! Maybe we’d better find out exactly what and how many medications Senator McCain is on. And quickly.

Of course he has his spin ready to go. The sad thing is that it takes time to develop and produce these ads. Which means he planned to attend the debate the whole time even as he stated he would not if no bailout was complete.

It seems his campaign is spinning so fast they are dizzy and can’t keep their efforts moving forward in a straight line.

Pretty pathetic. McCain’s grandstand does nothing but confuses the process, and I’m sure he will try to claim that he showed leadership by offering his personal support in the hour of crisis. Anyone with half a brain read right through this and can also see that McCain looks like a “PONG” game in which he’s bouncing all over the place after his emphatic statement that the economy is fundamentally sound.

Thank God Senator Obama dropped the comment last night that “the economy is NOT fundamentally sound.”

Simply unbelievable.

This man has no business running our country.

Its the only way he can win the debate after the confused nattering his campaign has devolved into. Good God! Combine McCain’s “suspension” of the campaign, with Palin’s “suspension” of a coherent policy on anything, and its understandable that only pre-planned spin could win the day for this pair. I almost feel sorry for both of them - almost.
