“Joe the Plumber” needed a couple of days to be vetted:

But as we now know, Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (alias McCain’s “Joe the Plumber”) doesn’t have a plumber’s license. Nor did his boss know he was selling his own business to Samuel (“Joe”)!

That business is apparently worth less than $100,000, nowhere close to the $250,000.00 “Joe” claimed it was worth in his conversation with Obama (in other words, he “misspoke” to us on camera).

Truth is, Samuel (“Joe”) makes about $40,000 a year, has a state tax lien from Ohio for nearly $1,200.00, a second lien for $1,261.00.

Not being able to keep up with his own bills, he’s buying a business, right?

The latest is, it turns out that good ol’ Samuel (”Joe”) is a prominent figure on the local right-wing radio station, and a financial donor to the McCain campaign.

He’s also shown up on youtube rants attacking Social Security, which John McCain would also like to get rid of - another thing they have in common.

As “Joe the Plumber” shows, the media fantasy of Republican operatives is truly amazing! These McCain operatives seriously believed they could sneak this fraud by the American people.

And McCain still uses him as the centerpiece of his campaign speech! Who would have thought? But then who would have thought McCain would choose as his second in command “Sarah the Rogue”?

The latest on Samuel? Just signed a deal with
an agent to become an entertainment star:

A music deal for Joe the plumber?
Posted: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 5:17 PM
From NBC's Mark Murray
Is this a great country or what?

Politico breaks the news: "Move over Sanjaya and tell William Hung the news: Joe the Plumber is being pursued for a major record deal and could come out with a country album as early as Inauguration Day."

"'Joe' – aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, a Holland, Ohio, pipe-and-toilet man – just signed with a Nashville public relations and management firm to handle interview requests and media appearances, as well create new career opportunities, including a shift out of the plumbing trade into stage and studio performances."

So this is the level the once proud McCain campaign has finally stooped to out of pure desperation?

We need honesty in our politics, we need to vote for Obama/Biden on Tuesday, Nov. 4th.

We need to put this sad chapter with McCain and Samuel "Joe the Plumber", or "Joe the Singer", whatever, behind us.

Well Brian Lee,

Thats why we need Barack Obama to to the rescue. He will help retool the American auto industry so that they can compete in the 21st Century. There will be tax credits of up to $7500 for purchasing American fuel efficient vehicles. No matter what you think the American car companies acount for more than 30% of the domestic market and the effects on letting them fail would be catastrophic on the economy, on the American Steel Industry, Parts suppliers, etc. They account for 400 billion in revenue by themselves not counting suppliers etc and employ 200,000 Americans, again not counting suppliers. Oh, all these problems occurred because of the high price of oil thans to the bush/cheney oil barons who decided to reward their former business partners before they headed out the door. Their refusal to sell oil from the strategic reserve allowed the price to get out of hand too quickly and led to the current debacle.
There is plenty of blame to go around.

Interesting. Mr. Joe the Plumber will be voting for the man who will increase his taxes. What a fool! (He still believes that he will earned more than $250,000.)

Come on this guy is a joke. His name isn't even Joe. Everything about him was a lie and McCain props him up like he's a "real american".

What a farce.

“He deserves our appreciation. Thank you for your courage,” McCain said. “By the way, I was at an event earlier this morning and I introduced you and even though you weren’t even there, they cheered.”
I want to thank Joe for his courage as well, it takes a lot of nerve to lie about what you do and how you wanted to buy the company you worked for. I know CONservatives love to be lied to so it is no surprise that McCain would want Joe around.

It's sad being a McCain supporter and watch him beat a dead horse. Joe the Plumber, Cindy the Seamstress, ugh, what a lame gimmick. Why couldn't McCain have just been himself in this campaign.

The American car companies simply have to start looking at new and cheaper models since the "Big American Way" isn't one that everyone can afford with giant gas guzzling SUVs and pick-ups roaming about. Foreign car makers are reveling in the economic fuel consumption models due to the rising price of oil and the failing dollar. The unions are merely trying to make sure everyone in America keeps their job and that it doesn't go to cheap labor in Mexico resulting and strife and unrest with the workers. Its time a new attitude is taken, not just buy the automakers, but of the consumers themselves. Waste not, want not.
