Money managers under the microscope

Madoff with the cash

April 24, 2009

With such huge amounts of money involved and after so much media scrutiny, it was surely only a matter of time.

rtxcojlAccording to the New York Times, a film on Madoff’s life and times is already in the works.

With the inevitable pun on his name, “Madoff: Made Off With America” has apparently been in production for over three weeks.

Shooting on the film about the “reviled Wall Street greedmonger” is scheduled for New York, Aspen, London and Switzerland, a video on the film’s promotional website informs us.

Casting is at an early stage, but, according to the video, writer and executive producer Edmund Druilhet has set his sights high — he is apparently keen on Dustin Hoffman to play the infamous man.

A more appropriate title might be ” Made Off with America under the watchful eyes of the Government”.

To understand the full involvement of the Government, you should highlight how the SEC refused to conduct a comprehensive investigation when alerted by many red flags.

the book writers and movie makers have found new material from which to draw on and make money; it would be nice it the profits went into a pool to help the innocent victims who were left penniless.
