New Orleans, then and now…

A combo picture shows a man swimming by the Circle Food Store with the skyline in the background in flooded New Orleans on August 30, 2005 (top), and the same scene almost two years later (bottom) on August 23, 2007. The photos that recreated scenes of the devastation of hurricane Katrina, and where they are today, were incredibly powerful and poignant.
