Reflecting on images…

reflection-400.jpg

Reflections of U.S soldiers are seen in a puddle of water as they guard their vehicles in front of an Afghan police station in Kandahar October 16, 2007. REUTERS

I believe this photo by one of your photographers is fake. Where the photographer is shooting from, images he would get reflected to him in the water would appear to be standing from the opposite side. I’m almost certain this photo is a physical impossibility.

The photo is legitimate, not fake. We do allow reflections to be rotated in photoshop. Our policy is to state in the caption that a picture has been rotated 180 degrees, but unfortunately that was not done in this case. We have corrected it in our photo archive.
