Microsoft sees progress in getting Windows on XO
The One Laptop per Child Foundation, a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, plans to start producing the $188 machines in China next month and eventually manufacture millions a year for elementary school children in developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The article claims it will be manufactured in China, but in fact, Quanta is based in Taiwan, not in China. Unless of course Reuters is officially endorsing the Communist Party’s claim to sovereignty over the democratically governed island of Taiwan.
