For the man who has everything, $12,000 whiskey

TORONTO (Reuters Life!) - Looking for a Christmas gift for someone with rich taste? You might want to consider a bottle of super-expensive Scotch whiskey.

A quick correction for you. Whisky from Scotland - the best sort- is always spelt without an ‘e’.

Merry Christmas from Scotland.

Chris

Please let your reporter and editor know that when referring to scotch the spelling of whisky does not have an ‘e’. The ‘e’ is only added to those distillations made outside of Scotland.

Several readers pointed this out to us. Indeed, according to our style guidelines, we should have used Scotch whisky: GBU Editor
