And according to various sources, the flame went from Athens to Beijing, then left Beijing to travel on a relay. It will return to Beijing in about four months. I may be wrong, but isn't the torch still in transit, with the final destination being Beijing? I would guess this image was taken during a rehearsal ceremony and the stiffs in the background are just stand-ins for the real public. We say in the caption the flame was welcomed by cheering children, but here in the picture we don't see any of them but only serious faced mannequins.
