South and east of the Midwest?
Over 318,000 still without power in Midwest
NEW YORK (Reuters) – More than 318,000 homes and businesses remained without power Tuesday after snow and ice storms January 27-28 left almost 1.7 million customers in the dark from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania, local utilities reported.
More than 200,000 customers were powerless in Kentucky and 100,000 in Arkansas.
I feel obligated to point out that not a single state mentioned in this article is part of the Midwest.

Several readers pointed that out. Some of the stricken states were actually in the Midwest, but since the major problem areas were not, at least according to a Wikipedia map of the Midwest, we probably should have found a better way to describe the path of damage: GBU Editor

Kathy Griffin’s acceptance words offended me. Kathy Griffin has the right as an American to say what she thinks. As a Christian-American, so do I. Today I refuse to watch any show that she may be on or purchase tickets to any show at which she would perform. What will you do? If you speak out you will truly stand up for Jesus Christ. Let’s see what Christians can do.
