Canada police search for “Chinese Warren Buffett”

tangTORONTO (Reuters) – Canadian police issued an arrest warrant on Wednesday for a man who promoted himself as the “Chinese Warren Buffett” but is accused in Canada of operating a C$30 million ($29 million) Ponzi scheme.

Don’t you really mean “Chinese Bernie Madoff”? I’m sure Warren Buffett would not want any associations with the words “ponzi scheme”.

No, we meant Warren Buffett, although the story should have attributed that statement to its source, in this case the Toronto Police.

I think it also should have included a brief explanation of  “Ponzi scheme,” since despite the Bernard Madoff saga, it’s not a household word: GBU Editor
