Rookie mistake?

“Rookie” error: new cop show is terrible

But at its core, “Rookie” is a terrible show. You can’t ask viewers accustomed to decades of such series as “Hill Street Blues,” “Homicide: Life on the Streets” and “Southland” to buy into a police series in an unnamed town.

As pointed out by a comment on Yahoo, “Hill Street Blues” took place in every one of its Emmy-winning, critically-acclaimed seasons, in an unnamed town.

Citing a cop show taking place in an unnamed city to criticize a cop show taking place in an unnamed city is … ridiculous!

Please find a TV reviewer who actually KNOWS something about TV to do reviews from here on in. Reuters, you usually do MUCH better than this.
