WASHINGTON, June 6 (Reuters) – Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum launched a long-shot Republican bid for president on Monday, pledging an unflinching commitment to conservative policies, including a Medicare reform plan that has proved unpopular with voters.
“We’re going to be in this race and we’re in it to win,” Santorum told ABC’s “Good Morning America” in an interview from his home state of Pennsylvania.

MILWAUKEE, June 2 (Reuters) – Twenty-four people were charged Thursday with federal drug trafficking and gambling offenses in a ring that stretched from the Pacific Northwest to Minnesota, Milwaukee and northern Illinois.
Following a year-long investigation, the defendants, all of Hmong descent, were charged with conspiring to possess with intent to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana, and 13 were accused with operating an illegal gambling business, said U.S. Attorney James Santelle.

IRS agent gets three years prison for filing false returns
An Internal Revenue Service agent was sentenced late on Wednesday to three years in prison for filing false tax returns for himself and unwitting relatives whose tax refunds he then stole, federal prosecutors said on Thursday.
The IRS revenue agent, Albert Bront, 51, formerly of Santa Clarita, California, also was ordered to pay more than $12,000 in restitution to the government.

Looking at the pictures of the tornado destruction in Joplin, MO, I noticed several captions. Could you please inform your writer that “have” is a verb but “of” is not. “Of” is a preposition in case they no longer teach that in journalism school.
