Mariah Carey hid pregnant body from hubby Cannon

Carey is the latest celebrity to become a spokeswoman for Jenny, following “Dreamgirls” actress and singer Jennifer Hudson and former “Cheers” star Kirstie Alley.

Your story about Mariah Carey incorrectly cites Jennifer Hudson as a spokesperson for Jenny. She is the spokesperson for Weight Watchers.

Check your facts.

It’s his wife… It’s his sister…

Donny Osmond dances to victory on “Stars” finale

He pulled his sister Marie, who competed on a previous season, from the audience to join the ballroom floor celebration that capped a two-hour live broadcast from Hollywood.

It was not Donny’s sister Marie he pulled from the audience.

It was his wife Debbie that he picked up and carried to the center when he got the trophy.

Several readers commented on this.

Actually he brought both of them out. His wife came first, Marie came second. You had to watch the entire thing to see that part of it: GBU Editor

Marge Simpson makes cover of Playboy

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – “D’oh!” doesn’t even start to cover it. Marge Simpson — the blue beehived matriarch of America’s most loved dysfunctional family – is Playboy magazine’s November cover, the magazine said on Friday.

Simpson, tastefully concealing her assets behind a signature Playboy Bunny chair, is the first cartoon character ever to front the glossy adult magazine, joining the ranks of sex symbols like Marilyn Monroe and Cindy Crawford.

The article says of the Marge Simpson character that she “is the first cartoon character ever to front the glossy adult magazine.”

This is incorrect. Leroy Neiman’s “Femlin” cartoon character has been featured on the cover of Playboy several times . Here is one example from August 1960:

Holy Smokin

Your article claims this is their first cover to feature a cartoon character. I believe that honor goes to Jessica Rabbit for their November, 1988 issue.

Marge??? LOL

Hugh Craig, Daniel Jackman sell out on Broadway

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig, best known for playing big screen action heroes Wolverine and James Bond, have drawn record ticket sales for their play “A Steady Rain,” but it drew mixed reviews on Wednesday after opening night.

Um really? Hugh Craig & Daniel Jackman in the headline? How many people reviewed and approved this article before it posted? A severe case of dyslexia here. Hope you fix.

M.H.

It’s not all that important, but you might want to correct the headline of one of your entertainment stories from “Hugh Craig, Daniel Jackman sell out on Broadway” to “Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig sell out on Broadway.”

Yikes. A number of readers noticed this one. The headline error was inserted in some online products. We corrected: GBU Editor

Who crowned the King of Pop?

Fans overlook Michael Jackson’s dark side

In the days following the self-proclaimed king of pop’s death on June 25 aged 50, reports of prescription-drug abuse have served as eerie reminders of the pharmaceutical cocktails that Presley was taking before he died in 1977.

I normally have great respect for Reuters, but I am disappointed in your lack of journalistic standards where Michael Jackson is concerned.

Where did the “self-proclaimed king of pop” come from in your “Fans Overlook Michael Jackson’s dark side??

Can you offer your readers evidence that Michael did proclaim himself King of Pop (and if you can, why didn’t you offer it?) or, as I suspect, did you just repeat something you’ve heard other people say without doing your own investigation?

Phoenix

When did you hear him say he was the king of the pop? It’s the people who loved him which gave him this title .

COMMENT

Oh, you have got to be kidding me. I see where people are saying that MJ promoted himself as the King of Pop, but have not provided any proof that he said this. Just because the people at the news conference introduced him as the King of Pop doesn’t mean that he told them to say it. And still, he did not say it. Also, Elizabeth Taylor loudly proclaimed that MJ was the King of Pop, Rock, and Soul at the Soul train music awards in 1989 or 90.

Police arrest 32 people over jewel heist

The Harry Winston chain provided jewels to Richard Burton for his wife Elizabeth Taylor and shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis bought an engagement ring there for former U.S. first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

It is really not newsworthy of the reporters to make reference to ‘celebrities’ people today wouldn’t know or care two hoots about.  Please.

Jean-François

Please tell me you’re joking. I realize Jackie Kennedy was no Kate Gosselin in the fame department, but she did get her name in the papers a few times: GBU Editor
