Prosecutors revise Blagojevich corruption case
The high court is expected to issue a ruling within months on the law after appeals by convicted Alaskan legislator Bruce Weyhrauch and media baron Conrad Black. Former Enron Corp. executive Jeffrey Skilling’s case may also get a hearing.
There is a libelous error in this article.
There is a reference to “convicted Alaskan legislator Bruce Weyhrauch.” Mr. Weyhrauch has never been tried, much less convicted of any crime.
His trial was postponed pending judicial determination of the validity or scope of the statute he is alleged to have violated.
Yikes. Not our finest hour. This was the second correction we had to do on that story: GBU Editor
Baghdad bombs kill 36, Chemical Ali hung
Um, it’s “Hanged”, executed, put to death, killed by hanging…never “Hung”! As John Cleese might have said, that would be “something completely different”!
Of course. We did use “hanged” on most of our news feeds, but hung briefly showed up on one site until we fixed it: GBU Editor
Petraeus calls gunscope inscriptions ‘disturbing’
”This is a big concern to the Army and the Marine Corps, who have contracted for these particular sites,” said Petraeus, the head of U.S. Central Command, noting the religious sensitivities American forces face in the two Muslim countries.
There is no such thing as a “site” on a rifle. To the uninformed journalist, the homophones “site” and “sight” are the same. To an intelligent person, a “sight” is a device on a rifle that is used for aiming purposes.
After Pee-wee Herman disappeared in 1991, Reubens remained in Hollywood and has appeared in various TV shows including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “30 Rock” but his alter-ego remained out of sight, bar one or two appearances.
Correction: Though actor Paul Reubens did play minor roles in many television series, he did NOT play any role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the t.v. show. He did play a role in the 1992 movie, however.

Geithner has said Fed officials had no choice but to allow AIG to pay the banks in full, but has denied any involvement in discussions to suppress disclosures. He reclused himself from matters involving AIG after being nominated for Treasury Secretary in November 2008.
The sixth paragraph ends with, “He reclused himself from matters involving AIG after being nominated for Treasury Secretary in November 2008.”
