Power to the people...
Iranians dared to take to the streets in their millions to let the world know that the government does not represent them. As one Iranian describes it: "We got beaten, shot, knifed and bladed. Most of us came back. Some of us did not. They made us pay to get their bodies back and denied us the permission to hold burial ceremonies for them. They took thousands of us as prisoners in the streets. They identified hundreds more through their spies and spy cameras. Some were taken from their beds at night and some from their universities, breaking doors down and destroying everything in their way. These innocent prisoners are being tortured in the most brutal way RIGHT NOW to confess to having been a spy for any country they choose to blame. Most would rather die under torture than confess to such lies. Some will probably be too weak to have a choice and will read out whatever they get given".

These people need our support now or it could be the end of people power in that region for many years to come.

Egypt regime is held in place to protect Israel borders, and cap Egyptians through poverty, fear and international debt, from credits that siphon into the pockets of the elite few.
The ongoing marshal law in Egypt, for the last x decade, is in place to justify for the regime all means to control its population, for its own survival.

Alas, Kamenei's STUPIDITY in his speech after the election of June 12th was the betrayal of the Iranian revolution and Khomeini. His speech was in fact to order the murdering of innocent people!
He effectively announced himself “The new Shah” and “above the law” ! This is the kiss of death for the Islamic Republic!
History foretold:
1- Demonstrator will carry on…
2- Many unarmed and innocent people will continue to be attacked and murdered…
3- Another 4 to 5 years of oppression, attack and murder of the “activists” will follow…
4- The Spirit of IRANIAN NATION will make them rise up again and destroy the corrupt Islamic kingdom.
5- The ISLAMIC REPUBLIC is DEAD, Long Live IRAN (THE REPUBLIC)

Egypt depends heavily on American funding and aid, the current president is being kept in the saddle by secret police and security forces and the US taxpayer is partially picking up the tab for that.

What a great blog! This is one of the most insightful articles I've read in a month of Sundays.

Hopefully, Khamenei will remember that he's the head of the Islamic REPUBLIC of Iran. Republic: a state ruled by the will of the PEOPLE. But, like most despots, they'll simply attempt to legitimize(ostensibly) their usurpation of the people's will.
