Congratulate Arjun Atwal

Arjun Atwal became the first Indian and just the sixth Asian-born player to win on the PGA Tour when he secured a one-stroke victory at the Wyndham Championship.

The 37-year-old, who now lives in Florida, sank a pressure-packed seven-foot par putt at the final hole to edge American David Toms at Sedgefield.

Atwal’s PGA Tour triumph shone as a beacon on an otherwise dark Sunday for Indian sports, fuelling the world’s second most populous country’s hopes of celebrating a maiden major victory in the not too distant future.

Join us in congratulating Atwal.

1st Indian to win on European Tour, 1st Indian to break into PGA Tour and now the 1st Indian to win there! It was a fairytale win and hope his dream run continues.

Congrats on the big win. Though I don’t play golf, I’m an avid fan. (Former professional bowler, myself). A few years back, I saw an interview with you and concluded you loved the game and are a class act. Since, I’ve privately rooted for you every time I saw your name on the leader board… Nationwide tour too. I know the exhilaration you feel of that biggest professional win. Hoping to see many more!!
