Empty Council Properties for the past 10 years have been vandilised and worthless to our acconomy, costing councils millions in security and repairs to building that provide no captital gains today.

For the past 8 years I have run my own company,It’s grown to the point were I need larger premisis but cant afford anymore overheads in my current state.

My sugestion is this:

It would only apply to all small busineses that are able to provide a cast iron sqeeky clean business plan that results in providing extra local employment. they must be investment ready companies.

Subsidise council rent for a 3year period this will help local businesses grow and give councils money that they would never have, Resulting in small businesses establishing themsleves to grow to provide lots more jobs!

I know of lots of very well run businesses that are in the same prodicument as myself, some of them work from thier garage or homes and that’s not ideal.I’m lucky I have a unit and small office.

I’m not aware of a pitfall in my idea it sounds so easy to implement?

I’m greatful for Nick’s idea in this suggestion box and look forward to his reply.

It’s this kind of input into government at the Cabinet Office level which is open to public view and comment that is critically important for raising the public consciousness overall.
