		<description>Having been directly involved since 1985 with setting up community-based NRM systems in three developing countries, I can only heartily agree with Karol&#039;s article ..... local power politics and corruption are the greatest obstacle to successfully implementing such systems, but the results ALWAYS speak for themselves .... even in so-called developed countries!</description>
