Putting her face in front of voters again is an invitation for the Demos to get an even greater ass-kicking in 2012. Guess the Demos are too dumb to figure out that the country is fed up of incumbent career politicians from ALL parties.

Putting the poster child for Democrat losses back at leader will just make the republicans job of targeting her for the next election as well.

I think the Republicans targeted Pelosi because she was good at her job. A liberal from San Francisco. With an Italian name. They could have picked on Harry Reid. But he was ineffectual as Senate leader. Maybe they presumed he would be defeated for re-election so why waste the effort. The author has a good point. The fewer conservative Democrats from traditional Republican states the more discipline the Democrats can impose. Something they have trouble doing.

Aren’t there any 2nd-term Progressives with the moxie to challenge this crap? After all, they were re-elected and not necessarily from safe districts.
