If we all were to look at other human beings in the same manner we look at ourselves, we'll surprise ourselves with the remarkable insights we'll gain about handling what we ordinarily regard as intractable problems. As the 'Arab Spring' has demonstrated, the Arab community as a whole needs the same things we all desire for ourselves. The emerging post-Saddam Iraqi needs the same interventions as we are contempating for post-recession America. Perish the rehearsed briefs about Bin Laden-inspired Arab youth; welcome Adam Smith-inspired world! These are cogent ideas that are on point.
