There’s also programs like our, Lemonade Day, that teach hundreds of thousands of elementary and middle school students about financial literacy and business skills.

Our program teaches kids how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand and, this year, will be in every middle school in Houston Independent School District – as well as schools across the 40+ communities we are in around the country.

don’t get me wrong, i believe our kids need a basic understanding of the financial world, but my point is the adults running things don’t appear to have anything on their minds except increasing their own incomes, regardless of the outcome to the rest of us.

The financial community is going to need to step up and help out the schools because they are operating on such low budgets and less teaching time these days.

It is my goal to find a way to help out in my area.
