Thank you for the apposite comment. We lost 3,000 to the depredations of the various Irish factions and you didn’t see us running around like headless chickens.

Now, who knows? The whole West has been infected by the american diseases of misinformation and paranoia. I hope our attitude doesn’t change, but it’s getting more difficult.

We should also bear in mind that during the past 10 years every single atrocity or “terrorist” plot on american soil has been instigated by the FBI. In what way is this one different, I wonder? Only time will tell.

Fear is the new “Cold War”… so, make more tanks, drones, small arms…and call out the National Guard. President Eisenhower was right..and they have taken over.

If you fear it, you should stay in bed and cover your head. Me, I have stuff to do.

The foreign student from Revere, Mass., is identified as 20-year-old Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi. There are 5 detainees at GETMO that have the same tribal last name.

“I just learned from my own sources that he is now going to be deported on national security grounds next Tuesday, which is very unusual,” Steve Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism.
The Reuters news agency reported President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal on Wednesday, noting “the meeting was not on Obama’s public schedule.”

After that meeting was mentioned, Emerson said, “That’s very interesting because this is the way things are done with Saudi Arabia. You don’t arrest their citizens. You deport them, because they don’t want them to be embarrassed and that’s the way we appease them.”

Until 9/11 the US Government did nothing to curb the IRA FundRaising and other activities in the US. It would be interesting to hear the views of Gerry Adams and Martin McGinnis on the Boston bombings. They would presumably consider that such bombings can in fact sometimes be justified?

How about a similar article for the thousands of victims of drone attacks!!!

We should not accept this, but we should definitely not conclude that this problem is insurmountable, cower in fear, and withdraw from society. There are, on average, 40 murders per day in the USA. You seem to think that nothing bad ever happens, and when it does, it’s the end of the world. Both presumptions are false. The world is dangerous. Always has been, always will be. You can try to make it better, or you can hide under your covers. Obviously while the former is helpful, the latter is what gets published more often. It’s a shame.
