Interesting!

I am amazed that Reuters would post such a thing. The “environmental” community loves to find scapegoats for their own destruction of habitat and life styles, which include living in cities, shoppping in malls and driving around in environment destroying vehicles. Raising honey bees in massive monocultures and feeding them glucose is an unnatural practice since it creates a narrow genetic base. The bees are further weakened by disease, moving them around and lack of natural forage. To see cyclic collapse in populations has been documented for 100 years, yet now we have a 10 year old class of chemistries that is the smoking gun! My advice would be to stop destroying habitat, plant some natural forage to build diverse pollinator populations and stop driving your car, you windshield destroys more bees every year than do neonics. Oh, but that would cause you some hardship wouldn’t it? Better to pass that hardship and economic damage to someone else (farmers).
